Day 1 Wedding Coordinating originated as a mother-daughter duo (Lori Garmire & Kaylee Van Veld) who love weddings and wanted to do something fun together while serving others. Day 1 officially launched in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 1, 2019 and has since grown into a team of 20 women who are passionate about helping couples have the best wedding day ever!

Day 1 provides ongoing wedding consultation paired with day-of wedding coordinating services and delivers personalized and excellent service to facilitate a stress-free wedding day for each of our clients! We have created a niche in the area’s wedding industry by specializing in day-of coordination. Many current brides prefer to plan their own weddings, but they need a point person to ensure that all of the details are taken care of leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. This gives each bride the flexibility to plan their own wedding, yet be fully present on their wedding day. The cost of day-of coordination is significantly lower than packages offered by full wedding planners, which is also attractive to our clients.
